Synaesthesia
Synaesthesia was in response to the brief: Doin' my nut in, a brief focusing on local language.
My response was an artists book on Synaesthesia, a neurological condition where one or more of the major senses is joined or connected to another. What is more local than a persons mind?
The book focuses on the views of a Synaesthete with a grid structure that coincided with the imagery a person with the condition might see, the use of transparent paper and die cut holes throughout to represent how all five senses are linked together.
